Members of the Freedom District Lions Club (FDLC) joined other Lions Clubs attending the Lions Clubs International District 22W Change of Banner dinner held at the Myersville Fire Department Hall on July 15, 2023. This event is held every year when the outgoing District Governor turns the rails over to the incoming District Governor. Awards are also presented to Lions Clubs for their accomplishments during the recently concluded Lions Year. The FDLC was presented 12 service awards and 3 combined service awards for the 2 Leo Clubs they sponsor (Century High School Leo Club and Liberty High School Leo Club). Representing the FDLC were Melissa Turski, FDLC President (2023 – 2024 Lions Year), First Vice President Bruce Edwards and Club Secretary Myron Horn.
