The Freedom Optimist Club operates a youth soccer program in the south Carroll area at Freedom Park in Sykesville. There is a special program, called Shooting Stars, for developmentally disabled children. Children from the regular program volunteer to help the Shooting Stars.

On August 18 & 25 and September 1 & 8, members of the Freedom District Lions Club, assisted by Leo Club members from Liberty High School, are providing snowballs and non-sugar snacks following the play. Thanks very much to our stars and volunteers!
