Members of the Freedom District Lions Club, led by Lion Wu Schaefer, conducted an inspection and clean-up of Freedom Park in Sykesville on April 11, 2023. They found no damage to the park , structures or fields but did find a moderate amount of trash. The heaviest amount of trash was near the entrance to the park, along Raincliffe Road.
