Service Hours Awards

During the Freedom District Lions Cub (FDLC) meeting held on May 24, 2023 in Celebration Hall, Messiah Lutheran Church in Berret, the three students with the most service hours from each of the eighth grades of the two area middle schools and seniors from the two area high schools were recognized and honored for their volunteer service activities. Each received a certificate and gift card. The recipients from Sykesville Middle School were: Trisha Savalia, Lennex Jason and Jacob Pierce. Recipients from Oklahoma Middle School were: Charles Duva, Avery Porter and Delaney Murray. Century High School recipients were: Ashlynn Kidwell, Nolan Smith and Gavin Konigsdorffer. The recipients from Liberty High School were: Alison Wallace, Jillian Casey and Abigail Yuming Cooney. The volunteer service hours recipients joined FDLC President Matt King and Lion Jane Jung-Potter, Co-chair of the service club’s Educational Services Committee as well as this year’s scholarship winners from Liberty High School and Century High School for a group picture.
