On Sunday, May 4, four Freedom District Lions joined forces with the Friends of Liberty Reservoir for the monthly trail trash pick up and recycling event. In the past few months, these events have been focused on the trails surrounding Deer Park Road in Finksburg/Reisterstown area, as volunteers have discovered large concentration of trash in this section of the Reservoir trails.

Despite the overcast weather and threat of rain, a total of eleven volunteers showed up, collecting 125 pounds of trash, in the trail, the shoreline, as well as the parking area 9 on Deer Park Road.
