Lions Jane Jung-Potter and Rochelle Schneiderman (FDLC Educational Services Committee Co-Chairs) presented this year’s annual Freedom District Lions Academic Grants. For 10 years, the service club has been giving the grants to 3 of the 9 public schools in their area on a 3 year rotation. This grant is to be used to benefit students in whatever way the local school administrators believes is the best use of the funds. This year’s recipients were Linton Springs Elementary School, Sykesville Middle School and Liberty High School.
