The Freedom District Lions Club (FDLC) donates toys, games and stuffed animals throughout each year for use by children under-going cancer treatment on an outpatient basis at Sinai Hospital. Recently the service club’s Childhood Cancer Committee asked the hospital’s Child Life Specialists if there was something special they and the children would like to have. The response was an electric car. The car can be operated manually by the children and the staff or parents can remotely take control of the car. On February 8, 2023, several members of the FDLC, led by Vice President Bruce Edwards visited Sinai Hospital and dedicated the car and presented it for use in the outpatient cancer clinic for children.
